Maria Romero Studio Dye Workshop

Come get ready for the new season and dye your own winter accessories with marigold flowers while enjoying a Dia de Muertos celebration

You will spend the day at the scenic North Brooklyn Farms with Maria Romero Studio & Tintoreria Project surrounded by fresh marigolds, bon fire and color.

Be ready for an immersive experience as you will learn how to dye protein fibers and learn the process from mordant to dye as taught to Maria by the artisans she works with in Oaxaca.

You will dye your purchased items using Marigold flowers, the flower of light.

In the morning we will begin the dye process and delight in oaxacan hot chocolate and Pan de Muerto from La Newyorkina , we will close in the late afternoon with refreshments and festive music while our newly dyed textiles dry by the bonfire.
